Today is finally the day for my first post. I have had the blog for a couple of weeks and just felt so intimidated by this silly post. I finally got the guts to post something, so here it goes. Well I thought I would start by giving a warning to all readers. I have been told that my writing is TERRIBLE but I am not letting this stop me. One of my english teachers made sure I knew this before I went to college where I made a's and b's on my papers. This teacher handed me my paper that I spent so much time on and she said that it needed a lot of work. So I stayed after and she helped me with it. Needless to say the second time around I received a 65. So thank you English teacher for my confidence in writing. I still have some hard feelings about that paper. Can you tell?

One reason it took me so long to get this blog thing going was due to my indecisiveness on a a blog name. I couldn't think of anything creative. I wanted it to be perfect. I am not crazy about my choice but it will do for now. It comes from my students favorite phrase, Lettuce Ketchup. Get it, Let us Catch Up. They think this is hilarious and they love the time they get to finish any unfinished work. Also my husband and I both love to cook and eat so I thought it was appropriate to have some kind of food item in the name of our blog.

So I hope you will enjoy this blog and ketchin up with the Kleimans!! I feel a little bit of my mom coming out of me when I am writing this post. Thanks mom for giving me some of your goofiness.
